Jake and TeamPana push the boundaries at Sandown

Formula Vee sensation, Jake Fouracre, continued his amazing rookie year with an overall 2nd place at Round 3 of the Victorian State championship this weekend.
He made the most of his maiden Sandown appearance, qualifying 4th, finishing 2nd in the final, and leading for a few laps in most of the races. This completes his 'apprenticeship' of the 3 Victorian circuits, making him a real contender for the 2010 championship.

The quiet but determined Fouracre is letting his results do most of the talking for him, as the rookie has maintained his lead in the Victorian Championship. "Team orders this weekend were to follow the experienced guys and learn from them. I was stoked when I took the lead in a few of the races."

And it’s go, go, go

Jake’s off to a flying start in Formula Vee

AUSTRALIA’S next Mark Webber may live in Oak Park.

Oak Park’s Jake Fouracre, who drives for Team Pana, is leading the Formula Vee Championship after two rounds.

Eighteen-year-old Jake Fouracre leads the Formula Vee Australia Victorian Championship table after two rounds, on 24 points.

Having impressed with a win at his open-wheel debut at Winton earlier this year, Fouracre backed it up in the second round to move to the top of the leader board.

His performance in Round 2 , al though he did not win, was further proof the rookie speedster had a burgeoning future.

Having copped a 35-second penalty for passing under yellow flags on Sunday morning, Fouracre had to start from 20th on the grid in the final.
